I don’t know why every early Honda Z50 is either beautifully restored like this one, or a sad old mess that looks like it’s been on fire and run over by a herd of bison. Sadly, this one was the latter. But un-sadly, it’s a happy little thing with a lot more pep thanks to the whopping 88cc big bore. Yes, I know it only adds a meager 39cc, but it actually makes a big difference… in fact, now the rest of the bike feels a little unstable with all that power…. and enthusiastically makes it past the OEM top speed of 20 something.
